The Passageway Food Hall

Type: Commercial

Client Location: Houston, TX

Status: Design Proposal

The space is thoughtfully divided into multiple functional zones, each with distinct seating arrangements and material palettes, carefully responding to the original architectural structure.

The selection of materials throughout the project creates a contemporary, sophisticated atmosphere while maintaining a sense of openness and flow.

The central food counter is strategically positioned between two sets of structural columns, with divider walls crafted from exposed concrete and plaster, and counters finished in sleek stone and metal. At one end of the space, a lounge area features wall-mounted televisions and comfortable seating, providing a relaxed environment for guests. On the opposite side, a smaller lounge is visually separated by a decorative wooden partition and planters, adding warmth and texture to the space.

Booth seating has been thoughtfully integrated along the linear rhythm of the columns, reinforcing the structural geometry while offering intimate dining experiences. The flooring combines resilient materials with marble slabs, aligning with the column grid to create a cohesive and visually dynamic environment that balances functionality with contemporary design aesthetics.
